This gas safety assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in Core Commercial gas work by practical knowledge and understanding assessment.
Tests gas safety competence in first fixing of installation pipework including the installation of check meters in non-domestic premises, without connection to a live gas supply.
This is a two day course which is inclusive of one day assessment.
This course is designed for anyone seeking Initial Assessment or Re-Assessment.
These consist of two open book written assessments. The Open Book assessments permit the use of approved reference material such as Gastec manual to obtain answers.
All two written assessments contain either multiple questions or true/false statements.
Workshop activities on live pipework required.
Work on non-domestic pipework up to a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar Steel, CSST, copper pipework and PE transition fittings of diameter > 35 mm (1¼”).
Proof of current gas safe registration and at least 12 months since completion of your core competency to extend into this qualification.
