The UK’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions calls for a huge increase in the number of air source heat pump installations across the UK. Figures in a recent report from the Committee on Climate Change estimate that 19 million heat pumps will need to be installed by 2050 if we’re to meet our Net Zero target. To put it another way, current Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations, which number around 30,000 units a year will have to rise to 600,000 a year. That’s some figure!
This is a nationally recognised qualification in the installation and maintenance of heat pump systems. The qualification is developed from the National Occupational Standards and is recognised by the Micro-generation Certification Scheme (MCS)registration body as an acceptable entry qualification to join their scheme.
