Kieran McDonald has been using Gastec training since the age of 17. Fast-forward to 2023 Kieran now has quite the success story to tell. Plumbing courses were a more common thing back then, Kieran started with plumbing at college and then came to Gastec training at the old Hanwell centre very early in his career. Kieran completed his gas training with us and has since gone on to join the Gas Safe register with multiple companies over the course of his career.
One of many bright learners we have seen over the years, Kieran has gone on to achieve a plethora of qualifications for his portfolio. Like many others, he has come to Gastec again and again for the friendly atmosphere and professionalism he so kindly talks about.
We can’t speak much about what he has achieved, but we can say that the van certainly outshines the rest of the herd, hard to imagine otherwise when an engineer is so highly qualified and actively undertaking the work involved.

Kieran was very outspoken about visiting other centres and always coming back to ours, stating the first-class approach to training. It is no secret we run a family business here, and as such we like to make sure everyone is treated like family.
Having worked for multiple companies over his career, Kieran now works for a London-based company looking after commercial gas plant rooms, air handling units, and refrigerant systems with his F Gas tickets close to home. The job offers him overtime if he chooses and he gets to undertake the work he enjoys doing. This isn’t to say the work stops here. Kieran is happy to work weekends and evenings whenever he chooses to privately, with a skillset and career for life under his belt, the work just keeps flowing.
