This gas safety assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in Core Commercial gas work by practical knowledge and understanding assessment.
Tests gas safety competencies of an operative in the work of strength testing, tightness testing and direct purging of small, low pressure Natural Gas non-domestic gas installations.
This TPCP1a module is usually undertaken as part of a Commercial Training Package.
Certification will be awarded, allowing you to register to Gas Safe and undertake –
Tightness testing & direct purging of installation pipework not exceeding –
Note* anything above these limits will require training and assessment on TPCP1 for greater volumes.
This is a two-day course that includes one day of training and one day of assessment.
This course is designed for anyone seeking Initial Assessment or Re-Assessment
These consist of open-book written assessments. The Open Book assessments permit the use of approved reference material such as the Gastec manual to obtain answers.
All written assessments contain either multiple questions or true/false statements.
Workshop activities on live appliances required.
Demonstration of competency in undertaking-
Tightness testing & direct purging of installation pipework not exceeding –
Proof of current gas safe registration and at least 12 months since completion of your core competency to extend into this qualification.
