This course is designed for anyone seeking Initial Assessment or Re-Assessment. This ACS qualification will allow you to work on LPG installations associated with permanent dwellings.

The course covers the following knowledge areas:

Checking the suitability of the intended installation location (vehicle).
The gas storage vessel, connection and supply pipes

• The specific safety considerations for LPG
• locating and securing appliances correctly
• Ventilation requirements
• Flueing requirements
• Tightness testing
• Operating pressures
• Commissioning and testing appliances
• Other ‘site specific’ safety checks and tests

These consist of open-book written assessments. The Open Book assessments permit the use of approved reference material such as Gastec Training manuals to obtain answers.

The written assessment contains either multiple questions or true/false statements.

LPG training will cover the following subjects in relation to mobile catering with assessments the following day:

• LPG supply pressures
• Operation and positioning of emergency isolation
• Flow control and valves
• LPG cylinder and vessel location safety and sizing
• Ventilation (for appliances)
• Installation of pipework and fittings
• Chimney standards
• Chimney inspection and testing

CCCN1 + appropriate COMCAT(s) + appropriate LPG assessments.

Proof of existing Gas Safe Registration for Reassessment, or 12 months registration with the Gas Safe Register plus valid CONGLP1, CCCN1 & COMCAT 1 and 3 (or CCN1, COCN1, COCATA1)
