This domestic gas safety assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in open-flued gas fires (radiant/convector), open-flued inset live fuel effect gas fires (ILFE), open-flued decorative fuel effect gas fires (DFE) balanced flued gas fires and balanced fan assisted wall heaters.
Non Domestic engineers can undertake Domestic HTR1, without the need to undertake CCN1, only if they encounter domestic sized appliances within non-domestic premises.
This qualification will be certified and entered into the Gas Safe Register, however, it will not show on your operatives Gas Safe Card if you are coming from a commercial core.
The HTR1 assessment tests the gas safety competence of an engineer to install, commission, exchange, disconnect, service, repair and attend to the breakdowns of domestic gas-fired appliances. Competencies are assessed by written and practical tests.
